Today, the company announced the Xiaomi Mi 10i, which effectively serves as the Indian version of the Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G.
There is little to separate the two devices on meat or paper, but this is not necessarily a bad thing. At the front, Xiaomi Mi 10i has a 6.67-inch 2,400 x 1,080 display.
It also packs adaptive refresh rate technology that can be up to 120Hz maximum on gaming or drop down 30Hz when browsing on social media. There is also HDR 10 support.
This screen is fitted to a heavy body. Weighing more than 214 grams, the Xiaomi Mi 10i measures approximately 165 mm in length, 77 mm in width and 8 mm in depth. The front and rear of the phone are also slated in Gorilla Glass 5.
Internally, the Snapdragon 750G makes an appearance, bringing the 5G Smart and the Adreno 619 GPU. Silicon is capped for at least 6GB LPDDR4 RAM and 64GB UFS 2.2 storage.
But perhaps Xiaomi Mi 10i comes with a bigger headliner rear camera. The back of the phone has a quad-camera setup, with a Samsung HM2 108MP sensor that comes with non-binning technology. Joining it is an 8MP sensor for wide-angle shots with 120-degree field-of-view. Less exciting is the 2MP macro shooter and the accompanying 2MP depth sensor. A 16MP selfie camera is placed in the center in a punch hole.
Keeping the Mi 10i alive is a 4,820mAh battery with split charging and a 33W fast charger in the box. Xiaomi says that the latter can increase the battery up to 68% in half an hour.
Finally, several other nuances are included. For one, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor makes an appearance, while also featuring IP53 splash resistance, a 3.5mm headphone jack with dual stereo speakers, and an IR blaster. The Mi 10i also comes with MIUI 12 box.
Xiaomi Mi 10i: Price and Availability
Xiaomi's Mi 10i trumps Motorola's camera arrangement, but it comes at a stable price. The price of 6GB RAM with 64GB storage is Rs 20,999. The 128GB storage variant starts at Rs 21,999. Finally, the 8GB / 128GB model will retail for Rs 23,999 and will surely be a better deal. This also makes the phone an attractive prospect in India.
